“I have existed always! Where I began I do not know, for all I know is just as I am today!”

A Devine tale of magic and mysticism, of love and lust, of loyalty and deception, of endearing friendships and betrayals, Tania Elizabeth’s debut, must read tale The Moon Clearing is sure to enrapture the hearts and minds of readers of all genres. Set in the beautifully depicted faerie realm Eterna Fadas, mother earth is both the splendid scenery and an integral character of the story, vivid depictions of the magic and wonder that abounds our existence are plentiful. Queen Tatiana’s story is not unlike our own life’s journeys as she faces and overcomes obstacles and obligations, experiences heartache and joyful splendour, relishes in admirable friendships and battles her ego mind as she encounters a tortured soul whose inner turmoil wrecks havoc on her own existence and that of her devoted people. Through the entwined lives of these stunning, enchanted beings you will become lost within a world of magic and of faith, where beauty abounds and a deep seeded belief that love prevails is prevalent throughout. You will become enthralled by their stories and find yourself deeply invested in these characters, consumed with all that they are, feeling as they do, absorbed by both the beauty of Tania Elizabeth’s writing and the underlying message that seen or unseen, love, magic and faith in oneself are contained in the hearts of us all should we simply choose to trust in ourselves. I found myself getting lost in this story, only ever putting it down to savour in the anticipation and the enchantment of Tatiana’s fate. I have been left hungry for the second instalment and I am certain you will be too.
Other Work: I am currently writing the second book, The Mirrors Shadow, which will be released in late September of this year. Book Three will be launched in the early part of 2014.
When did you first start writing? I have written ever since I was a child. Though professionally, 2 years. Beside my books, I also write a column in the Whitelight Magazine called ‘Through the eyes of a faerie’.
Did you always want to be a writer? If not what did you want to be? This girl has tried many a things, and at one stage it was my desire to be an accountant of all things (this in which I studied). Though it was my writing in which was my true passion.
What drew you to writing FANTASY stories? That’s easy . . . my own love for reading this genre. As with, my intrigue into that of the faerie, in which I have held since I was a wee lass 🙂
Where does your inspiration for these stories come from? My inspiration comes from within. The desire to write, not only a story in which enabled the reader to delve and loose themselves within a world of magic and mysticism, love and adventure. But to begin a journey of self discovery along with the characters themselves.
What was your favourite chapter to write and why? Hmmmmm . . . now that would be like asking me which of my children I love the most. I honestly don’t know that I could answer that one for you. They each carry their own special qualities.
Where is your favourite place to write? In the park by the beach.
Do you have a certain routine you have for writing? i.e. You listen to music, sit in a certain chair? Just give me my coffee, my chocolate, and/or my popcorn . . . and I am set 🙂
Do you use a computer/laptop for your first draft or are you a pen and paper writer? An old fashioned girl I am. Pen and paper it most definitely be.
How do you come up with characters names and place names in your books? Some just come. I do wish they all came so easy. Though, others . . . I have a general idea what style of name I am after, and I may have to do a little research in order to find the perfect name for a character.
Did you learn anything from writing your book? What was it? As it is written in my bio . . . Through the writing of this book and the words of Tatiana, Tania has found a peace within and learnt the true meaning of “I LOVE ME”
How long does it usually take you to write a book, from the original idea to finishing writing it? The first book took a total of 11months. The second book is coming about somewhat quicker. Though the basic outline for both the second and third book had already been placed.
Can you describe the feeling you had when you saw your published book for the first time? A feeling of pride and accomplishment
Who are some of your favourite authors? This is a list that could be endless. Though a few of my favourites would be those who have influenced my writing the most. Enid Blyton, as it was her writings that brought me into a world of fantasy I had never known as a child. William Shakespeare for his poetic nature. And Florence Scovel Shinn, for it was her book of wisdom that became my enlightenment.
Have you ever suffered from a “writer’s block”? What did you do to get past the “block”? No, I have never suffered from writer’s block. Nor will I ever. It is I who make this choice. For I believe that writer’s block comes from Fear. Fear of failure. Fear of the unknown. Though if you write from heart . . . how can you ever go wrong!
What piece of advice would you give to a new writer? To write of heart and to believe in your words, in your story, without the entanglement of doubt and fear arising.
Would you share a deep dark secret about you with us? No deep dark secrets I am sorry. As my friends say, I am one big crazy love bubble. I love life, every ounce of it.
Thank you for letting us get to know you and your books, TANIA ELIZABETH. This book sounds great 🙂
